Janelle's Story

Once upon a time, I dreamed of helping children fall in love with learning. As a teacher and author, I saw how much joy stories could bring especially to our youngest learners, to feel confident and proud of themselves. That dream became the heart of my work.

I began writing simple, colourful books for children aged 1–6. My first children's book was filled with shapes, colours, and friendly characters. I watched little eyes sparkle when they discovered something new. That magic inspired me to keep creating more.

Along the way, I added colouring books to encourage creativity and play. These gave children the chance to draw, imagine, and explore in their own way. I also knew that literacy was the key that opened every child’s future.

That is why I created the Owords Literacy App. It teaches sight words through everyday words. Parents, teachers, and families can use these resources with confidence, knowing they are building strong foundations.

Owords is more than books and apps. It is my way of giving every child the chance to begin their journey with joy, confidence, and love for learning.
